‘Way To Blue: The Songs Of Nick Drake’ at Birmingham Symphony Hall, with guests including Olivia Chaney, Green Gartside, Sam Lee, Iron & Wine, Vashti Bunyan and Glen Hansard.

The album launch of Seb Rochford & David Coulter’s release on Trestle Records, ‘Good Friday’, at The Lexicon.

I’m co-rpoducing Yasmine’s new record with Luke Smith at Flesh & Bone Studios this month. I am very much enjoying working with Arabic lyrics; literal explanation is rarely possible, but the sound of the words and intention of Yasmine’s performance always conveys the meaning.

I had a lovely time helping Seamus record at Big Jelly – along with his brother John on accordion, Emma Smith on violin and Aram Zarikian on drums (who took these photos).

Big Jelly is based in a beautiful chapel in Ramsgate and getting drum sounds in the big room (which also benefits from a slide) was a blast. Thanks to Mike and Al.
